Event Information

The Angus Australia Foundation will provide four Angus Youth Australia members aged between 18 and 25 the opportunity to attend the World Angus Forum In Scotland in 2017.The World Angus Forum Scholarship aims to support four Angus Youth Australia member's that are passionate about and willing to represent the Australian Beef industry. The recipients of these scholarships will have their flights and event entry costs covered by Angus Australia.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age (up to 26th birthday on the 3rd of July). You must also be a current Angus Youth or Angus Australia financial member. Membership forms are available on the Angus Australia website.

HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the World Angus Forum Scholarship, applicants will need to complete the entire following application. 

CONDITIONS OF RECEIVING THE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Participants must be available for the entire duration of the competition (21st June - 3rd July)
  • Each team must raise $2,000 to assist in covering expenses associated with the event.
  • Each participant must be able to organise their own passport flights and travel insurance.
  • Within two weeks of returning, a full event report must be given to the Angus Australia Foundation

  • Wednesday 21st – Registration day
  • Thursday 22nd – Royal Highland Show
  • Friday 23rd – Activity day in Scotland
  • Saturday 24th – Stockjudging and activity – Royal Highland Show
  • Sunday 25th and Monday 26th – World Angus Forum Conference
  • Tuesday 27th – Agri skills and activities
  • Wednesday 28th – Farm visits
  • Thursday 29th – Day with World Angus Forum delegates
  • Friday 30th – Visit to Scotbeef
  • Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July – Familiarisation days and youth final at Netherton/HW Angus
