Podcast: Computing and Informatics Options; Dr. Sam Volchenboum
BSD's Center for Research Informatics is a home for biomedical informatics research and educational initiatives, supports and coordinates cross-departmental research initiatives and activities, and advocates for biomedical informatics. Key initiatives aimed at improving the research capabilities of the Biological Sciences Division have been pursued and implemented by the CRI since its founding in 2011, including the creation of a Clinical Data Warehouse and of a highly skilled Bioinformatics Core. Dr. Samuel Volchenboum, Director of the CRI since April 2013, will share the CRI’s vision for expanding advanced computational resources for the University of Chicago community. The presentation will be of interest to researchers who seek to examine clinical data, and basic scientists using biomedical informatics.
