Welcome to the Twin Lakes Township Survey

Twin Lakes Township has long been in need of a town hall for a variety of reasons. The township currently has very little storage space. Town records are currently stored at the Carlton Fire Hall, or at the home of the clerk. Equipment is currently stored at county facilities or at someone’s home. The township uses county facilities to hold elections and annual meetings (or other large special meetings), needing to work around other entities’ schedules. The township board meetings are currently held at the Carlton Fire Hall, needing to work around the fire department’s schedule. The township office is housed in the clerk’s home, so having a public building with an office would provide easier access for residents. To address these issues, the township recently purchased property on Douglas Road for the construction of a town hall.

As we are in the preliminary planning stages, the township would like to hear from its residents regarding some aspects of the town hall. Your answers to these questions will be considered by the town board during the planning process. Thank you!
