Hello and thank you for taking the time to participate in this research project! The purpose of this study is to investigate feminist perspectives in relation to different types of information. As such, some respondents may see one set of statements on the next page of this survey and others may see another. No-one will ever know which respondents saw which set of statements (not even the researchers) as your answers will be completely anonymous. The responses will be examined to see if there are any differences in feminist perspectives with regard to the two sets of statements.

The survey contains 60 statements on a variety of topics which you will be requested to rate by how you view them on the scale: (1) strongly disagree (2) somewhat disagree (3) neutral (4) somewhat agree (5) strongly agree. Each item should be responded to quickly without over-thinking. The should take rough 6 minutes to complete.

You will be asked for basic demographic information but no personal information will be requested and your IP address will not be recorded. Data will not be shares with anyone outside of the research team identified above. However, please note that confidentiality can only be protected within the limitations of the law and that it may be possible for data to be subject to subpoena, freedom of information claim or mandated reporting in some professions.

If for any reason you are not comfortable answering a particular statement, or should you chose for any reason not to complete the survey, you may withdraw at any point prior submission. As all responses are anonymous, it will not be possible to withdraw from the study once the survey is completed.

Should you wish to receive a copy of the results you can contact me at david.byrne59@mail.dcu.ie. Please note that results will only be distributed after grading of the research project.

If you have any questions or concerns about the study you can contact myself or my supervisors on the details above.
