Sign On to to Join Letter to Treasury and OMB Pressing for Immediate Release of FY 2025 NACA Funding

The Native CDFI Network invites all Native CDFIs and key Indian Country partner to sign on to its joint letter to the Department of the Treasury and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requesting the immediate release of FY 2025 funding for the Native American CDFI Assistance (NACA) Program, which has been withheld by the Administration for the past several months. The letter also requests that Native CDFIs be exempted from a recently shared Treasury proposal to require CDFIs applying for funding from the CDFI Fund to complete a “supplemental application” attesting that they will not use any of the funding for “DEI or climate purposes.”

NCN’s letter to Treasury and OMB comes on the heels of a bipartisan letter from the U.S. Senate to OMB in late July demanding that the FY 2025 funding for the CDFI Fund be disbursed by the Administration without further delay (this was prompted in part by NCN's joint sign-on letter in June requesting that Congress take action on the matter).

The deadline to sign on to the joint letter is 5:00 p.m. ET this Thursday, September 11.
