BCC Workers Need a Pay Rise Now
Dear BCC Worker,
Your union is acutely aware that you are living through one of the most challenging periods in living memory. From weathering the cost-of-living crisis to increased workloads and community expectations to navigating Council’s relentless change agenda. It’s been a perfect storm. And all this whilst managing the pressure of delivering essential services to Brisbane ratepayers.
That’s why your union believes that Council has a responsibility to deliver a fair pay rise that keeps pace with Brisbane CPI (currently 4.6 %).
However, recent history shows us that when it comes to wage offers, Council needs to be pressured to do the right thing. That’s why we need you to lend your voice to our campaign for a fair wage increase.
Please fill out our short survey and tell us what you think.
This survey will conclude at COB Thursday 18 June, 2026.
