* 2. Why the plan is important
Clapham has to provide 500 new houses over the next 11 years. If sites are not allocated in the Neighbourhood Plan, Bedford Borough Council will allocate them. For the last four years your Neighbourhood Plan Development Group has consulted Clapham residents and has been working with prospective land agents to arrive at the agreed allocated site which is at the northern end of the village off Midland Road. See the map in the plan on page 32. While you may not prefer the recommended site, please give us your response to the question below:

Question Title

* 4. Neighbourhood Development Plan Policies
The policies in the Neighbourhood Plan are designed to protect the type of housing we want, our green spaces, historic and important buildings, relationship with adjoining communities, transport and the village economy. Since we last showed you the policies, the former Coalescence Policies have been replaced with the Landscape Policies to make it clearer how we value the countryside around our village. All the policies can be found in the plan.
