1. What is a DMS / VMS?
Dynamic Message Signs (DMSs) or Variable Message Signs (DMSs) are stationary traffic control devices capable of displaying one or more alternative messages that provide travelers with real-time, traffic-related variable messages. DMSs and VMSs are used to warn, regulate, route and manage traffic.

2. What will this survey be used for?
This survey will demonstrate the public opinion of the importance of Variable and Dynamic Message Signs. Your answers will not only be utilized for research and development purposes, but will assist local governments in understanding community opinions, adopting or abandoning these traffic management tools.
