Purpose: As a philanthropic partner, Blue Meridian Partners (BMP) is developing a regional strategy that is grounded by a vision of driving economic and social mobility, racial equity and racial justice in the South. As part of this work, BMP is leading a landscape scan analysis of the region to identify and segment organizations and potential place-based partnerships.

On behalf of Blue Meridian Partners, Converge is reaching out to invite your help in connecting us with BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving nonprofit organizations in the South that have been doing great work in furthering racial equity and/or racial justice while producing social and economic mobility outcomes.

As a social justice consulting firm, we are compiling a directory of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving nonprofits in the South through a Landscape Scan Identification Survey. This directory is intended to be an open source list for community members, funders, donors, policymakers, and other organizations who seek to amplify the work of BIPOC-led nonprofits. No identifying information of individuals will be included in the directory.

Definition of “Southern Landscape”: We include the following thirteen southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Your Local Knowledge: Please provide us with information based on your knowledge in the field of nonprofit work and philanthropy in your state. We appreciate your (or your team’s) local knowledge as an expert in the region.

Time and Deadline: This survey will take about 5-10 minutes of your time. Most questions are open-ended so that we can identify emerging organizations that fit our criteria above.
We really appreciate your filling it out within a week of receiving our email.
