NESS

We would like to find out more about our learners (students, staff, parents) at NESS and what their interests, passions and visions are for their own futures as well as the future of NESS. A growth plan is an ongoing process that helps us to decide what is important. It can include additions to, or, changes to a building but it could also be about how we can support the people in our school community. Whether you are a staff member, a student, or a parent we would like to know what your thoughts are regarding the future of NESS.

* 1. Can you name two people in our school who believe you will be a success in life? How do you know that these people believe in you?

* 2. What are you learning? How is it important? What are your next steps for your learning?

* 3. I am interested in participating in a cross curricular Social Studies - Nisga'a Language course.

Not really OK, but I need lots of support.

* 4. Are you in favour of NESS being an Alternative School if it meant more flexibility for programming courses and personalizing students' timetables?

* 5. I wish school subjects were linked by themes (ex. Heroes; Journey; Change; Power of Conflict) so that my learning was more connected.

No. I like things the way they are. As long as I'm learning, I don't really care.
