The Renal Research Consortium (RRC) (services division of RHA) is looking into how to help independent dialysis organizations get more involved in clinical research. Large dialysis organizations and nephrology practices have been conducting this research for years and we think if we create an independent research consortium, it would be attractive to our RHA membership.
Our idea is to start with those organizations that are already involved in research and assemble a consortium of kidney care providers that will represent a broad reaching network of patients and organizations. This type of consortium will be attractive to clinical research organizations (CRO).
