Edge Effect is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for our Collaboration and Co-design alongside People with Diverse SOGIESC in Humanitarian and Development Projects
Edge Effect has a new training which focuses on the inclusion of people with diverse SOGIESC in the project cycle. The Collaboration and Co-design alongside People with Diverse SOGIESC in Humanitarian and Development Projects training is based on co-design principles. Each session builds on the last and follows the project cycle. We will be exploring;
Module 1: Standards for collecting and analysing data about people with diverse SOGIESC are relatively new and evolving and there are lots of issues to consider. We take you through the steps and answer your questions about diverse SOGIESC data collection.
Module 2: Humanitarian and development professionals will explore the what it means to co-design projects with LGBTIQ+ people. This includes assessing the need for co-design and building the conditions for meaningful participation.
Module 3: The do’s and don’ts of including people of diverse SOGIESC in project implementation. It includes guidance on the inclusion and participation of LGBTIQ+ people / CCO’s as partners in project implementation
Module 4: Humanitarian and international development practitioners explore which types of MEL indicators actively ignore the impacts upon diverse SOGIESC people and communities, and what you can do to specifically capture the rich experiences.
Module 5: We will explore the inclusion of people with diverse SOGIESC in Identifying hazard risks, determining vulnerabilities, identifying capacities and determining levels of risk.
Who is this training for?
This workshop is tailored for staff working in program management; business development; monitoring, evaluation and learning; reporting/compliance; and similar roles within international development and humanitarian organisations. No prior knowledge of diverse SOGIESC inclusion issues is assumed.
