Landscape Questionnaire

This questionnaire will help focus on your needs and desires while balancing the aesthetics with maintenance requirements. Answering these questions will assist us in designing a landscape that is right for you and your family.

Think long term. Consider functional uses for the landscape like outdoor entertainment, storage, play, gardening and pets. The property also needs to be evaluated for slope, sun exposure, wind, views (desirable and undesirable), and drainage to determine areas that are suitable for the intended landscape. Rain and snow runoff must be kept on site per state and local requirements.

Please remember, that like your home, your landscape will need regular maintenance… leaves fall, weeds grow, irrigation nozzles get clogged, shrubs need shaping, perennials need dead-heading, lawns need mowing and fertilizing.

Think about your lifestyle and how much time you want to spend maintaining your landscape. Will you be doing your own landscape maintenance or hiring someone? This is also a good time to familiarize you with your neighborhood or homeowners association landscape requirements that need to be incorporated.

In a good design, form follows function. That means, first we must take into account your needs and site opportunities and constraints. Then we can develop functional spaces that compliment the architecture, meet your needs and build curb appeal.
