Community Survey for the Assembly Street Railroad Separation Project
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), in cooperation with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) are currently examining environmental impacts and potential alternatives for the Assembly Street Railroad Separation Project in Columbia, SC. The preliminary purpose of the project is to improve rail operations and improve vehicular connectivity while alleviating vehicle congestion associated with frequent freight rail movements through the project area. This survey is intended to provide FHWA, FRA, and SCDOT with information regarding current traffic impacts to community members.
