CPH Item-writing

The National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) is seeking nominations for item-writers for the Certified in Public Health (CPH) examination.

Item-writers are needed to develop new questions in the following domain areas:

• General Principles
• Biostatistics
• Environmental Health Sciences
• Epidemiology
• Health Policy Management
• Social Behavioral Sciences
• Communications
• Diversity and Culture
• Leadership
• Public Health Biology
• Professionalism
• Program Planning
• Ethics
• Systems Thinking

Item-writers will receive a two hour online training in December/January and be asked to write/submit approximately ten questions/answer sets (items) by March 2017. New item-writers will have the option of working with a item-writing mentor.
