BPS Committee Volunteer Form

The Biophysical Society committees are essential to pursuing the Society’s mission and implementing our strategic plan that supports sharing knowledge in and about biophysics, fostering a global community, supporting the next generation, and advocating for biophysics.

Committee members and chairs in the Society's committees serve three-year terms, renewable once.
All new and continuing committee appointments are approved by Council on an annual basis.

Committee members must be current Society members at the time of their appointment and must maintain active Society membership to remain on the Committee.

Members can volunteer for the following committees: Early Careers, Education, Membership, Inclusion & Diversity (CID), Professional Opportunities for Women (CPOW), Public Affairs, and Publications. For detailed information on each of the Society's Committees, please visit our website.

Please note available placements will vary year to year.
You must provide multiple committee preferences as well as reasons why you would like to serve so that we can do our best to match volunteers with committee openings.
