Privacy and Information statement

This privacy and information notice applies to all information collected through the Draft Government Policy Statement 2021/22–2030/31 survey on www.transport.govt.nz/gps

There are 14 questions in this survey – 12 of them are optional. The only questions you will have to answer are about your postcode and the industry in which you work. This information is collected to understand your responses, and how you engage with the GPS and the transport network more broadly.

All information provided through this survey will be held by the Ministry of Transport on the SurveyMonkey platform and will be used to advise the Minister of Transport about a final version of the GPS.

All responses can be accessed by PublicVoice – an All-of-Government accredited supplier contracted to the Ministry of Transport to support the analysis.

All responses to the survey will be public records and will be held for a time period required by the Public Records Act 2005, then destroyed.

The Ministry may have to share the responses under the Official Information Act 1982 or with a Parliamentary Select Committee. The Ministry will first consider, for example, whether the responses contain personal or commercially sensitive information.
