Isle of Wight Home Care Direct Payment Personal Budgets (DPPBs)

I am looking for for feedback from Home Care Providers on the Isle of Wight, to ascertain the degree to which the delay to implementing the annual uplift to personal budgets, compared to the Primary providers, impacts Providers for Service Users with DPPBs.
1.
To what degree are you concerned about the impact upcoming increases to the National Minimum Wage & Employer National Insurance Contributions will have on your business?
2.Would DPPBs being increased at the beginning of the tax year help you meet rising staffing costs?
3.How many of your service users have a DPPB?
4.The Isle of Wight Council describes the relationship between a home care Service User with a DPPB and their Care Provider as a private arrangement - in that the Council has no part in negotiating how much the Service User pays for the services provided.
From your experience, would you agree that this is an accurate description of your relationship with your service users?
5.When do you ordinarily increase your charges for clients with DPPBs?
6.From April onward, are you confident that you will be able to continue to provide home care services to people who receive funding through the council in the form of a DPPB?
7.Assuming DPPBs will not be automatically increased inline with the uplift to the care bands for Primary Providers, how will you manage the rising staffing costs?
