If At Least One Applicant Lives in Seneca County: You must set up an appointment with the Seneca County Probate Court at 419-447-3121 between 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, prior to the start of the event.
It's imperative to note that the courts will be closed on April 8 and you must plan accordingly to receive you marriage license in advance.
After setting up the appointment, please complete the Marriage Application Form
here. Bring the form, along with Photo ID and Certified Birth Certificate are required for each applicant. Typically applicants use their Driver’s license, State ID, Passport or other Immigration and Naturalization Service ID for their photo ID. For anyone born in the State of Ohio, you can obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate at any local Health Department.
If either applicant has been previously married and divorced, the most recent certified copy of the final divorce decree or dissolution is required.
If a spouse is deceased, a copy of the death record is required.
