ACE Excellence in Circus Education Award 2018 |
American Circus Educators Association Excellence in Circus Education Award
This biennial award is given to an individual based in the USA who demonstrates excellence in circus education. The recipient of this award will demonstrate the following qualities:
- outstanding and unique contributions to the field of circus education
- serves as an inspiration, role model, and mentor for students and other educators
-significant impact on students achievement and passion for circus and/or the success of other circus educators
- 10 years or more dedicated to circus arts education
Educators become eligible for this award via nomination from the community. The recipient of this award is selected from the pool of nominees by consensus of the AYCO/ACE board of directors.
It is ok if various people submit a nomination for for the same candidate without knowing - we anticipate this may occur. A group of people may join together to fill out the form for a nominee if they think it will create the strongest application. Volume of nominations for a single person does not give a candidate a better chance - the nominee will be selected based on their compatibility with the criteria the award is based on and the answers the nominators provide.
You may nominate someone for both the excellence and innovation awards if appropriate.
Please note- you may not save the survey and re-visit it later, so we suggest you read through it, work on your answers, and then submit once you have all of the content ready.
The deadline for nominations is September 15, 2018.
The winner of this award receives a complementary event pass to the 2016 EdCon in San Francisco and a commemorative certificate.
