Arts Award Development in Stroud

Hello, on behalf of Create Gloucestershire I am undertaking some research with arts and cultural providers in the Stroud area to see what's already happening and what could be developed with Arts Award - the national accredited programme for young people aged 5-25.

Arts Award is about developing young people as artists and arts leaders, and offers a host of transferable skills including engagement, raised aspirations and confidence. It's run at 5 levels (4 being qualifications); Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Full details can be found here; www.artsaward.org.uk

As a freelance cultural education practitioner and trainer, I have worked with Arts Award for over 10 years as part of supporting young people of all ages and abilities to be inspired by and benefit from arts and culture. I would love to see it offered more in my hometown of Stroud!
