How can we work together grow and protect the North West? Share your ideas!

The Australian Government is investing more than $1 billion in the next phase of the National Landcare Program – NLP2 – and we’re looking for your input so we can support great projects across the North West Local Land Services (NW LLS) area.

The investment will include a range of measures to support natural resource management and sustainable agriculture, and to protect Australia’s biodiversity.

With its investment in the next phase of the National Landcare Program, the Australian Government aims to work in partnership with governments, industry, communities and individuals to protect and conserve Australia’s water, soil, plants, animals and ecosystems, as well as support the productive and sustainable use of these valuable resources.

The National Landcare Program has five proposed program outcomes:

1. Increase the protection, rehabilitation and restoration of environmental assets

2. Increase in the Natural Resource Management community delivering biodiversity and natural resources practices

3. Increased awareness and the adoption of land management practices that improve and protect the condition of soil, biodiversity and vegetation

4. Support for the eradication of Red Imported Fire Ants and the establishment of a Centre for Invasive Species Solutions research institute

5. Agricultural systems have a capacity to adapt to significant changes in climate, weather and markets.

Closing dates are fast approaching, and we encourage you to apply:
