Across Canada and locally here in Ontario, there are many different program and service delivery models to meet the needs of local communities and there is no longer a ‘one size fits all approach’ to supporting these unique needs. We know people typically associate the YMCA with our health and fitness centres, but managing those facilities comes at a great cost. The reality is that we offer YMCA programs at more than 90 locations across Niagara: in local schools, community settings, outdoor parks and leased spaces. At this point, no decisions have been made as to what the next YMCA program model will look like in Fort Erie. Right now, we want to hear from the Fort Erie community beginning with this online survey. We plan to gather and review all the community feedback provided before any decisions are made.
