General Community Survey — 2026 Community Needs Assessment

Welcome

Spalding County's Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program is a federally funded program that helps residents with nutrition, education, youth services, and emergency assistance. Many people in our community may not be familiar with the CSBG name, but you may know our programs — including Senior Home Delivered Meals and youth tutoring and summer programs. We are updating our 2026 Community Needs Assessment to make sure our programs reflect what Spalding County residents actually need. This survey is anonymous, voluntary, and takes about 8–10 minutes.
Why We're Asking: Spalding County has a higher poverty rate than the state and national averages, and our CSBG program is required by federal and state guidelines to conduct a Community Needs Assessment every three years. This assessment doesn't just measure need — it looks for the root causes behind it, so that Spalding County can direct limited resources toward real solutions instead of just symptoms. Your input, whether you are a resident, a program participant, a nonprofit or faith-based partner, a business, a school, or a government agency, directly shapes the priorities in our Community Action Plan and the services we advocate to fund over the next several years. Thank you for helping us understand Spalding County more completely.
