Statement of Job Purpose and Responsibility:
The Communications Summer Associate will work closely with our Communications Manager to provide support for ongoing fundraising activities, and to assist in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing our Foundation’s engagement, messaging, and visibility throughout the communities of Chatham-Kent.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program related to communications, marketing or public relations.
-Familiarity with social media platforms and other digital marketing channels.
-Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
-Basic knowledge of graphic design tools, including Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes)
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
-Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
-Creative thinking and a willingness to contribute new ideas to communication strategies.
