Volunteers Needed - Snack Pak 4 Kids deliveries at M.L. King Academy

We have added M.L. King Academy as our newest Snack Pak 4 Kids school.  the school is located at 3501 Martin Luther King Dr, San Antonio, TX 78220.   (Click here for a map)

Volunteers are needed to help with the following tasks.

  • MEET THE SP4K TRUCK: accept delivery of containers to be stored at school
    • Tuesday mornings once a month at ML King Academy
    • Average time on campus 30 minutes
    • Usually 8 – 8:30 arrival at school
    • Coordinate with custodian to open gate, take containers on dollies to the Teachers Lunch Room for storage.
  • DELIVER SNACK PAKS TO CLASSROOMS: Place specified number of individual Snack Paks in cloth bags, then take to teachers’ classrooms for storage in plastic containers.
    • Thursday evenings (starting at 5-5:45 pm) AFTER school (including a few Tuesdays or Wednesdays before holidays) at ML King Academy, 3501 MLK Drive, 78220
    • Average time on campus 20-30 minutes
    • Volunteers are divided into 5 teams that will have 6-7 dates through the rest of the school year (Dec. – May)
    • Each team may consist of 3-4 volunteers.
