The Dayton Independent Schools participate in the federally funded Title I, Part A program. The Title I program focuses on providing assistance in the academic areas of math, reading, social studies, and science. Both of our schools utilize a school wide Title I program. As such, the schools have funding for staff, professional development and parent involvement.
Title I schools are required to conduct an annual survey of parents in order to plan effective Title I programs. Lincoln Elementary and Dayton High School both have policies addressing parent involvement. These policies are reviewed each year by the individual school site base councils. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of our school policies we would like for you to complete this questionnaire. Your feedback will be used to improve parent involvement activities. Suggestions on how we can better help our students at home or at school are welcome.
