Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

This will be a Hybrid Class Advanced Emergency Medical Technician class starting August 23, 2026.

Duration: 312 hours (Approximate)
  • 168 hours On-line
  • 84 hours Clinical Time
  • 60 hours of EMS Field Capstone
AEMTs provide both basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critically ill or injured patients. They serve as a vital link between the scene and emergency healthcare facilities.

Course Content:
  • Patient assessment and scene management
  • Limited advanced airway management
  • IV therapy and pharmacological interventions
  • Emergency medication administration
  • Trauma and medical emergency management

Certification Requirements:
  • Must be 18 and have EMT certification
  • Passing the National Registry practical and written exams
