Splash pads come in many different sizes and shapes and have interactive water features that vary from simple spray features, activated components and waterfalls.
Splash pads contain activated, in- ground and above ground features that spray water in different patterns and directions cooling off users on hot summer days. They stimulate children’s minds and keep them active at their own pace and comfort level. They provide a safe aquatic experience because there is zero accumulation of water. Splash pads are accessible for all developmental abilities and great for older caregivers and grandparents. The goal is to have a splash pad geared towards infants, children and youth to experience cohesive play with natural and gradual separation between gentler features and more fast moving, exciting features.
The committee is planning a splash pad with approximately 18 - 24 components and a spray area of 192m2.
The committee is excited to hear about your expectations on the function and features for the splash pad and would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts. Your answers to this survey are confidential/anonymous.
