Benefits
o Participants should not expect direct benefits
o Benefits can include enhanced skills and curriculum for future social work students.
Risks
o Minimal risk is expected, which means you won’t encounter more risk than in everyday life when answering questions about your education.
o Although risk is minimal, participants who may feel triggered by the survey questions can withdraw and seek counsel from their own clinical supervisor or local mental health provider. You can also call or text the national number at 988.
Participation is Anonymous
o No identifying information will be required
o Responses will be anonymous
o Data will be stored on a password-locked computer and website. Only the researcher will have access to the data.

Definitions to be aware of:
Chaotic situations: unpredictable, disorganized, unstable situations like suicidal, homicidal, and/or aggressive clients in an environment that feels overwhelming.
Complex situations: ever-changing, multifaceted, unpredictable events, that entail suicidal, homicidal, aggressive clients that could be ethically challenging, unsafe, and high-stress environments.
Critical thinking: Analyze information and situations to problem-solve using clinical judgment, logic, and clients' needs, and ethically applying learned material in a professional manner.
