Central Coast Residents, We Need Your Input.

This survey is contributing to a research collaboration between Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and the Bren School at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The results of this survey will be used to improve community outreach efforts by establishing a baseline understanding of the public’s familiarity and use of native plants in home garden settings.

Your input is invaluable to our research. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. (Note: pay close attention to your confirmation page where you can enter to win an annual Garden Membership on us!)
First, we want to understand what attracts you most to Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens.
To establish a common understanding of “native plants,” we'll refer to California Native Plant Society's definition which says, "California’s native plants evolved here over a very long period, and are the plants which the first Californians knew and depended on for their livelihood. These plants have co-evolved with animals, fungi, and microbes, to form a complex network of relationships. They are the foundation of our native ecosystems or natural communities.
