Strengthening Accessibility for Expecting Parents and Caregivers of Young Children

Tuesday, Dec. 12th, 7-9pm
23-35 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11106

This interactive workshop offered by UP-STAND will explore how you can strengthen accessibility and accommodations for workers and visitors who are pregnant or caregivers of young children. Participants will be provided with a brief overview of the current accessibility landscape at the city, state, and federal level.  The facilitator will help participants to assess the current state of accessibility for expecting and new parents in their workplace, organization, agency, or business, and to consider the benefits of strengthening accessibility. She will offer practical ideas for improving family-friendliness, including strategies that can be implemented at little or no cost. This workshop is appropriate for those beginning to explore how to strengthen accessibility as well as those already providing more established accommodations.  It will include an opportunity for participant discussion and questions.

Workshop participants will receive:

·         20% off one UP-STAND order;
