Introduction

Thank you for your interest in performing in the 2018 NYC American Youth Circus Festival Youth Showcase!

We encourage festival participants of all skill levels and abilities to perform in the Showcase. Each act should be complete and well-rehearsed before the festival date. Solo and duo acts should be 2-5 minutes long. Acts with larger groups should be 2-6 minutes long. If you or your group would like to submit more than one act for consideration please submit a separate application for each act.

This is not a competition. We are excited to display the diverse talents and skills of the youth circus community! Priority will be given to acts submitted by organizations.  Acts submitted by individuals not applying as part of an organization will be accepted to the showcase on a case by case basis. Due to the limited number of performance slots, we will not be able to accept all individuals submitting acts.

Technical Info: The performance area is located within Circus Warehouse where the festival workshops will take place. Each act will have one chance during the festival day to rehearse and tech their act. Performers should provide their own music, costumes, and (as possible) props.  All aerial acts MUST be accompanied by a spotter who is familiar with the act and MUST be performed over a landing mat (which we will provide).

Please submit your application by October 21st, 2018.

Please note: completing this application does not register you for the festival! Visit www.americanyouthcircus.org to register. Only registered festival participants will be able to perform in the showcase.
