2016 Practice Changers: Breaking News in Primary Care
Obj. 1: Describe changes in patient management related to use of new medications, dosage changes, or changes in medication use.
Obj. 2: Describe updated guidelines that are useful for treatment and prevention of common diseases seen in primary care.
Oldies but Goodies: A Look at Commonly used generic medications
Obj. 1: Compare efficacy and cost of generic meds used in primary care to branded medications.
Obj. 2: Explore use of generic medications and discuss strategies for cost effective prescribing.
The Top 20: A Clinical Look at the Most Commonly Prescribed Medications
1. Review the most commonly prescribed medications in the US. in 2015/2016.
2. Discuss prescribing issues specifically related to medications most commonly prescribed.
3. Evaluate the safety and efficacy of some of the most commonly prescribed medications.
