By completing the survey, STOYs and Finalists help NNSTOY achieve these critical advocacy goals:
 
  • Informing state and federal policymakers across the country about the strengths and the challenges of education in our schools and classrooms.
  • Giving policymakers the feedback they need to create and evaluate policies that affect those schools and classrooms.
  • Positioning NNSTOY as an organization of committed and expert educators who can help policymakers and education leaders solve tough education challenges.
  • Fostering dialog around important educational issues, including teacher leadership, educational funding, and implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act.

The survey is divided into three parts: equity, social-emotional learning, and general questions that revisit past priorities. There are 23 questions.
