* 23. Awards Process - Planning for the Future

The 2016 Regional Tourism Awards saw a very significant change to the entry and judging process.  The new process provided a much easier entry process and the judges decisions were based predominantly on site visits and inspections which were completed anonymously.

The Judging Company have made a series of recommendations. We would welcome your feedback on these:

Award entry process to be kept to a minimum for entrants
Site Visits to be the predominant form of judging and to keep where practical anonymous
Awards entries to be sought earlier in the year to allow for judging of businesses that do not operate year round (calendar year vs. financial year)
Events to be asked to nominate in advance of their event so independent judges can review the event as it happens
Entry criteria to be reviewed and shared with all businesses
