Clinician Wellbeing Network: Survey on Workplace Wellness
For the purpose of this survey:
Wellness as defined by: World Health Organization: "The 9 dimensions of wellness, physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, social, career, intellectual, creative and environmental. These dimensions build on each other and support each other."
Burnout is defined by: American Psychological Association (APA) Criteria: "Characterized by emotional exhaustion, and negative attitudes and feelings toward one's co-workers and job role. Burnout is associated with job dissatisfaction, low commitment to the job and absenteeism."
Compassion fatigue is defined by: National Institutes of Health (NIH): "Characterized by exhaustion, anger and irritability, negative coping behavior's including alcohol and drug abuse, reduced ability to feel sympathy and empathy, a diminished sense of enjoyment or satisfaction with work, increased absenteeism, and an impaired ability to make decisions and care for patients and/or clients."
