* 1. Dear Survey Participant:

Dairy producers have been using genetic information to breed for the best cows for many years. Genomic testing of dairy cattle is a new technology that could be used for herd improvement. Because this is a new management tool, many dairy producers find themselves wondering if it is something they should consider.

Our multi-state dairy research and extension group is investigating new fertility traits for which the genomic technology might be used. We are interested in what producers have heard or thought about genomic testing. We invite you to share your thoughts.

Your responses to this survey will help us understand dairy producer opinions, understanding and educational needs related to genomics. Your participation is voluntary and all responses will be anonymous. Information gathered through the survey will only be used in summary form. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Please proceed to Question 2 through 8.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Dr. Joe Dalton, University of Idaho Extension Dairy Specialist, jdalton@uidaho.edu; or add your comments or questions below.
