METS Ignited is progressing initiatives to fast-track the innovation cycle and improve collaboration to strengthen Australia’s mining innovation system. One such initiative seeks to establish a network of Living Labs, bringing together R&D providers, METS companies and miners to solve industry challenges.

AECOM is working with METS Ignited to examine the current ability of Australian test sites for METS/mining technologies to meet the needs of the industry. To do this, we are collating a database of all existing test sites across Australia, and this will be made available to METS Ignited members as an online resource to promote more collaborative approaches to innovation.
