Certification Needs Assessment

Certifications have become a vehicle for certain levels of practitioners to show advanced training or specialty skills around an impairment or procedure.  We are interested in exploring with you a potential certification as a Spinal Cord Injury Specialist. This voluntary certification process will reflect knowledge in the specialization of SCI care.  Certification is intended to promote quality and consistent care to those living with SCI by:

1.    Recognizing the many specialists involved in SCI care delivery

2.    Establishing a basic knowledge required for practice in the fields of SCI

3.    Encouraging continuous learning so that those in SCI care sustain a basic level of knowledge about  SCI and its implications

Please consider taking the time to fill out this brief survey (estimated time of 5 minutes) to help determine if there is an interest from all of you, SCI/D providers in seeking certification. This voluntary certification is a means of providing formal recognition that is necessary to provide optimal care to those individuals and families living with a spinal cord injury or disease.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to fill out this brief needs assessment.
