Assignments & Assignment Procedures: increased faculty control over schedules and work modality, stronger load guarantee for PT faculty, and public posting of seniority lists
Class Cancellation: defined course cancellation timeline, compensation for canceled classes, etc.
Healthcare & Benefits: increased contributions to health benefits, dental/vision for PT faculty, paid family leave, and enhanced retirement options, etc.
Contract Duration: part-time assignments per academic year, year round pay for year round work, optional 12-month pay cycle for FT faculty, etc.
Disability Accommodations Protections: formal timeline and accountability by the District for implementing ADA accommodations for physical and mental disabilities, etc.
Academic Freedom: language preventing curriculum censorship, protecting faculty rights to political activism, and protecting professional duties based on faculty expertise from management interference, etc.
Dual Enrollment: opt-in assignments, required written communication on duties and hours outside the faculty contract, etc.
Workplace Health & Safety: clear accountability, roles, and reporting on safety issues, expanded faculty rights regarding safety and wellness concerns, etc.
