Sensory-Friendly Events for Adults at the Walker Art Center

Introduction

The Walker Art Center is planning to launch a sensory-friendly, evening event series for adults that will most likely feature tours, art-making activities, and film screenings.

We are sending this short survey to you, because we hope that our program is shaped directly by individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or developmental disabilities, and their loved ones. Later in the process, we plan to hold advisory committees for direct engagement. Thank you very much for your feedback and input - this project could not happen without you!

What is a drop-in program? It could look like this: the event runs from 6 - 8pm, attendees arrive at whatever time they want, choose which activity they attend and for how long, and generally make their own schedule.
What is a structured program? It could look like this: the event runs from 6 - 8pm; attendee signs up for the 6pm slot: attends 30-min. tour, 30-min. art-making activity, and is free to spend time in the galleries after.
