Consumer and carer engagement and participation is a key component of the nationally driven mental health reform process. Along with other PHNs across the country, Brisbane South PHN have been given the opportunity to ensure that local mental health needs of the community are being identified and addressed with local solutions. It is important that Brisbane South PHN supports workforce capacity development of lived experience workers across the region to enable the peer workforce to continue to deliver improved services to members of the community.

Brisbane South PHN is offering 20 lived-experience workers full registration scholarships to the upcoming dialogue: 2019 Lived Experience Workforce Conference being hosted by Brook RED on Wednesday 8th & Thursday 9th May 2019.

Requirements to attend:
Peer Workers are working within the Primary Care and NGO sector
Ability to attend both 8th & 9th May 

Please note, the Brisbane South PHN scholarships are available only to those lived experience workers who practice in the Brisbane South PHN region and priority will be given to any unpaid or part-time workers.

Registration scholarships does not include any other associated costs such as transportation or accommodation will be the responsibility of the applicant. 

Registration will be paid direct to the conference organiser and no cash payment is made to successful applicants.

if a successful applicant is unable to attend then the scholarship is forfeited to allow another attend.

How to apply:

If you wish to apply for a scholarship please submit this application form by 5:00PM on Friday 12th April.

Please complete your application by submitting this form. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of lived-experience workers. The panel will be comprised of lived experience workers from a range of organisations.
Applicants will be notified if their applications have been successful by 5:00PM on 15th April.

If unsuccessful in this process Brook RED will honour the early bird rate for your registration if you still wish to attend the conference.
