Scotts Valley currently allows cannabis to be delivered within the city limits for medicinal purposes, but does not allow licensed dispensaries. only. Santa Cruz County and the City of Santa Cruz receive a 7 percent tax on marijuana sales, estimated to annually raise $3.2 million countywide. Cannabis becomes legal for people over 21 Jan. 1 2018.
