Lisa Reid, DNP, APRN, CME, FNP-C
MESSAGE to VOTERS:
If elected to the 2022 president-elect position, I promise to work for the NTNP members.  I am a huge proponent for mentoring our young and would like to come up with some ways in which we can assist our new NPs and student NPs as they start their journey.  I am also a big proponent of healthcare policy and have progressively been becoming more and more educated and involved. I plan to be a public figure and represent our group in a positive and proactive manner at local, state, and national levels and support the progression of our profession towards independent practice.

BIO:
I have been a nurse for nearly 30 years.  I obtained my NP in May 2016 and my DNP from UTA in December 2020. I have strong leadership skills and management, sitting on numerous committees, precepting, teaching BLS, and helping get the RQI (Resuscitative Quality Improvement) program up and running at Texas Health. I also sit on THPG’s APP Advisory Committee and Primary Care Sub-Committee. I served as sponsorship chair for the NTNP Conference for the past 3 years, until I was elected as the current Secretary. My experience on the conference committee has put me in a unique position to run the 2022 conference, as this is one of the requirements of the president-elect.

 Gary Foster, MS, APRN, FNP-BC
MESSAGE TO VOTERS:
Although I serve as the Clinical Director and one of the full-time medical providers for one of the largest free clinics in North Texas, I would like to become more involved in the nurse practitioner community. I have extensive management experience both in the military and civilian sectors of nursing. I feel that the sum of my experiences could be utilized by the North Texas Nurse Practitioners Association in the capacity of President-elect. I would love the opportunity to give back to the nurse practitioners of this region through service to them. I am a great organizer and love challenges. Despite the outcome, I intend to become more involved locally in the professional community to augment the service I am currently performing to the underserved populations of Dallas. I also serve as a nurse practitioner preceptor for FNP students for Georgetown University, University of Texas at Arlington, Baylor University, Texas Women’s University, Texas Tech University and University of Texas at Tyler. I love educating and precepting and will continue to precept in the future. Educationally, I obtained my BSN from the University of Tulsa in 1992, and my MS in Family Nurse Practitioner studies from Georgetown University in 2015. I am a DNP student at the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2019, I was named of the top nurses

BIO:
Gary Foster is an ANCC certified family nurse practitioner, with over 29 years of nursing experience.  Prior to working with The Agape Clinic, Gary served in the military and help positions with critical care, Level I trauma/emergency, psychiatry, and education.  In 2016, he joined the team as Director of Clinical Operations and serves our community as a full time FNP in our clinic.  He is currently pursuing his DNP to prepare him to integrate EBP into the comprehensive primary care of his patients.

Tiffany Flood, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

BIO
Currently serve as clinical instructor at  Baylor University in the DNP-FNP prgram.  She also served as adjunct faculty at Texas Woman's University.  She has been active in professional nursing organizations, such as AANP, Sigma Theta Tau, and NTNP.  She is also involved locally through her church fellowship and in after school programs to increase the social mobility of minorities and people of color.

MESSAGE to VOTERS:
The members of NTNP gather to form relationships, improve their skillset, and effect change in the interest of nurse practitioners in North Texas region. Administratively, it would be a privilege
to serve the members and executive board by maintaining minutes of business, membership, and executive board meetings. It would be an opportunity to join in the mission of NTNP as affiliates
of TNP and the AANP, by supporting the executive board and serving its members in maintaining the records of business. I have a history of leading quality improvement task forces, in nursing academia, and now this would a step in leading in this regional organization. My
ideals on leadership are heavily weighted in service and that is the approach I would take in this position. Thank you for the opportunity to show my interest.
