MAEIA is seeking volunteers to participate in a Michigan Arts Education Instruction and Assessment (MAEIA) project to pilot the Michigan-Collaborative Scoring System (MI-CSS), utilizing dance, theater, music and visual arts educators.

MI-CSS is for use by arts teachers to reliably score responses of their students to the MAEIA assessments, as well as a comparable number of responses from other teachers’ students.

An in-depth one-day training on the use of MI-CSS is scheduled for January 31, 2019, with virtual work taking place in late spring/early summer of 2018, and a feedback session will be held, June 5, 2019.

In an attempt to build our teams strategically across grade level and discipline area, MAEIA staff will review all application surveys received, and then follow up with the intention to confirm participation before the January 31st training session.

In this pilot, we ask that you use at least two or three of the MAEIA assessments during the 2018-2019 academic year, to provide for the student work for uploading and scoring in MI-CSS. We recommend using two assessments for this MI-CSS pilot.

A complete catalog of the MAEIA assessments can be found at the following link: https://maeia-artsednetwork.org/
This application survey will ask you to identify at least one, and up to three assessments, and we recommend you identify those assessments by the assessment number (e.g. M.T301). This 6 question application survey will need to be completed in one sitting, without an option to save, so please have this data ready before you begin.
