Feedback

The AASW Queensland Branch is expanding its capacity to be responsive to the climate crisis and seeks your support and feedback.

This survey is specifically to gauge the support for a formalised branch structure to pursue climate  justice.

Branch structures include Sub-Committees and Practice Groups.

Sub-Committees are capped at 8 members and are facilitated by two co-convenors, with at least one of whom must be a member of the Branch Management Committee (BMC) and all of whom are AASW financial members. They assist the BMC in the development and execution of key responsibilities.

Practice Groups act as peer supervision networks to discuss experiences in day to day social work practice and share ideas for social work advocacy in the workplace and wider community. Group membership is open to all social workers and numbers are not capped. Practice group officeholders must be AASW members.

Both types of structure adhere to a Terms of Reference which is ratified by the Branch Management Committee (BMC).
