EG’s annual Business Plan and Budget process is a key part of the Town's Strategic Plan and helps to identify key priorities and funding for the upcoming year. The Town’s budget is made up for four components: the Tax Supported Budget, Development and Fee Supported Budget, Water and Wastewater Budget and Capital Program budget.

EG’s budget process includes:  
  • Financial analysis completed with all departments to review spending from the previous year's budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Staff presentations to Council outlining the results of the previous year’s budget and an overview of the upcoming budget.
  • Budget meetings between the Chief Administrative Office (CAO), Finance and each department.
  • Residents are invited to provide feedback during meetings and watch budget meetings (live or recorded) via the Town’s YouTube Channel.
