AIF® Volunteer Form
As an independently accredited certification body, Fi360 constantly monitors, evaluates and looks to improve the AIF® program. The strength of the designation relies on active AIF® and AIFA® volunteers acting as subject matter experts and impartial stakeholders.

The following are volunteer roles:
  • Exam Item Writers | Q2 2026 Need
  • Appeals Board Members | 2026 Need
  • AIF® Scheme Committee (SC) Members
  • AIF® Adjunct Instructors
Volunteers will be asked for certain time commitments based on their role; please complete the form below to express interest in any of the positions.

1) Exam Item Writer - Current Need
Exam Item Writers develop potential test questions for the AIF® exam. This role requires time in Q2 2026 starting with a kickoff/training call on April 2, 2:00 - 3:00pm ET followed by independent work creating new items before discussing potential items with the rest of the committee during a series of virtual meetings. Item writers execute a nondisclosure agreement and assign the rights to the items to Fi360; writers are able to earn CE and include participation in their professional resume/CV.

2) Appeals Board Member - Current Need
Appeals Board members are trained to listen to, hear and decide on candidate/designee appeals cases. An appeals case may involve the initial decision to grant AIF® certification, accepting renewal applications or levying discipline for failing to adhere to the designee Code of Ethics or Conduct Standards. Members will be asked to execute a nondisclosure statement and may include participating in their professional resume/CV.

3) Scheme Committee (SC) Member
The AIF® program relies on active AIF®/AIFA® designees to regularly meet to provide overview, feedback and proposals on all aspects of the AIF® program. Committee members represent different stakeholder groups: practicing fiduciary advisors, employers of fiduciary advisors, institutional assets (i.e. foundations/endowments), fiduciary analysts and the public. Members are appointed to 2-year terms, execute a nondisclosure statement and may include participating in their professional resume/CV.

4) AIF® Adjunct Instructor
Are you interested in leveraging your fiduciary expertise to teach future AIF® candidates? If so, consider applying to become a future AIF® Adjunct Instructor. Adjuncts are responsible sharing their fiduciary expertise while delivering comprehensive education to AIF® candidates while preparing them to become successful AIF® designees. Adjuncts will go through rigorous training and evaluation before being approved to teach AIF® in-person or virtual classes.
