Cultural Tourism Project Working Group

WWAC is seeking Wamba Wemba community members to join a Project Working Group to guide the Cultural & Community Centre feasibility study and the broader cultural tourism program. We welcome interest from Elders, young people and community members with different experiences and perspectives. No tourism or business experience is needed.

What would members do?
• Share community aspirations, ideas and concerns.
• Help identify suitable cultural tourism opportunities and priorities for a Cultural Community Centre.
• Provide advice on cultural protocols and appropriate ways to involve community.
• Review emerging ideas and findings and help shape recommendations.
• Help ensure both projects reflect community needs and priorities.

The Working Group will provide advice throughout both projects. Cultural permissions and formal decisions will remain with WWAC governance processes.

It is anticipated that the Working Group will meet 6-8 times over the next year. Meeting arrangements, including online options, time commitments and any sitting fees or participation support will be confirmed with interested members.
